LEATHER WORKING COURSES IN FLORENCE
 Our school in Florence offers its students the opportunity to discover the art of Leather Working. You can choose between orientation course (half day, full day or 5 days courses) or long term courses (3 or 6 months).
Here down you can read about the program:
- HALF DAY COURSE
At the beginning of the course the various materials used to produce leather products will be analyzed. After this introduction, it will be proceed to the creation of a leather cover for books and a master craftsman will present the various stages of production. In the end, the student will take away the finished cover with a set of blank pages inside.
- FULL DAY COURSE
Also this course, like the previous one, starts with the analysis of the materials used in the production of leather goods. Then student will be taught to produce a more challenging leather product, particularly a beautiful leather pouch-style handbag that at the end of the course the student will be allowede to take away.
- FIVE DAYS COURSE
This course is a much more complete and, after the usual initial introduction to the materials used in leather crafts, students will be taught by the craft master to produce various leather items, including eyeglass cases, document holders, pouch-style purses, shopping handbags, etc. The course also includes a demonstration of the process of gold-gilding. All the products created by students are their property and are included in the course fees.
- LONG TERM COURSES
- 3 months course
This course is very complete and is designed to introduce all the basic processes of leather crafts. The course presents many study subjects that are dealt in an analytical and comprehensive way: analysis of the materials, design and pattern making, cutting, foldering, fleshing, assembling and finishing. At the end of the course the student will be able to design and manufacture any leather craft product. Objects created by the students are their property and are included in the course fees.
- 6 months course
The six-month course is very professional and is dedicated to deepening the processes of design and production, and ends with a professional examination.
